Arne Jacobsen is a Danish architect and designer. He is credited with the heritage of simple, elegant and functional forms of Scandinavian design today. This design is always combined with natural and comfortable materials as Jacobsen conceived it. It is thanks to the realization of a building in the suburbs of Copenhagen between 1930 and 1934 that he earns his reputation as the Danish Le Corbusier. This was followed by numerous commercial successes such as the Ant chair model 3100 of 1952 or the series 7. He is also credited with the SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen, which he designed and built entirely. For this project, he created 3 emblematic chairs of Scandinavian design: Egg, Swan and The Pot.
